creative director who refuses to write his bio in third person

On set making stuff, going for that hipster tradie thing but not quite nailing it. My hair is shorter and thinner now.

I am a creative director who values thorough knowledge of craft. I feel knowing what each step entails in bringing work to life makes me a better communicator when sharing a vision, and a more effective leader.

Before directing I worked professionally as designer, developer, illustrator, photographer and animator - sometimes at the same time. These days I spend more time in Google Slides than any other tool. I’m OK with that, but I do enjoy getting down and dirty with a wacom some days.

In my recent history I spent three years working in Shanghai - for an Australian who grew up with no neighbours save for cows and the odd horse, it has given me an edge in creating and leading work across Asia Pacific (strong emphasis on China, of course). While I’m now shit hot at ordering breakfast pork baozi and fending off laowai hungry airport taxi drivers, my mandarin still sucks.

I’m currently based Surry Hills, Sydney, where my internet speed is a good 20x slower than Shanghai.

Your email will likely wind up in the fine company of all the scam email a publicly accessible form attracts until I manually dig through it, so please be patient.
